An Audio Series Helping Distributors Master the Complete Packaging Experience
Carlstadt, NJ - 10.22.26
What: Keepsake Products USA has launched Keepsake University, an educational audio series created and recorded by Cliff Quicksell, CSP, MAS+, a longtime friend of Keepsake Products USA and respected promotional products industry expert. The series is designed to help promotional product distributors and marketers rethink packaging as a strategic tool for creating memorable brand experiences, increasing engagement, and delivering greater value to their clients.
Sessions 1-4: The Complete Packaging Playbook The first four sessions take listeners on a comprehensive journey through the world of custom packaging, covering packaging strategy, technology, decoration, and the production and fulfillment process from concept to delivery. Each session provides practical insights and actionable strategies to help distributors move beyond selling individual products and position packaging as a complete, customized solution, creating more impactful client experiences, increasing program value, and uncovering new sales opportunities.
Session 1: Mastering Packaging Strategy – 6 Episodes This session establishes the foundation: packaging is part of the way a recipient experiences a brand. The lessons explain how distributors can connect packaging to a client’s objectives, identify applications in vertical markets, and present ideas that support perceived value and margin. Participants are encouraged to bring clients a reason to buy that goes beyond product specifications and price.
Session 2: Enhancing Packaging UX with Technology– 6 Episodes This session explores how NFC, QR codes, video, sound, and light can extend a packaging experience and encourage a recipient to take the next step. It also addresses scent as a sensory enhancement. The lessons connect these features to client challenges and campaign objectives, helping distributors explain when an enhancement serves a purpose and how it can carry the message beyond the initial opening.
Session 3: Decoration That Engages & Gets Noticed – 12 Episodes This session explains how the look and feel of packaging can influence a recipient’s perception. Embossing, foil stamping, specialty coatings, and textures are presented as choices that should support the brand and its message. Participants learn to discuss why an embellishment belongs in a program and how it can contribute to perceived value and a more memorable experience.
Session 4: Complete Packaging Solutions, From Start to Ship – 6 Episodes A strong idea still needs to be executed well. This session explains how kitting, fulfillment, warehousing, and distribution fit into a complete packaging program. The lessons help distributors identify the operational challenges behind a client’s request and discuss services that can simplify delivery, reduce the client’s workload, and support ongoing programs.
Sessions 5-7: Identify the Opportunity. Find the Market. Win the Sale. Sessions 5 through 7 will launch in the coming weeks, helping distributors and marketers recognize packaging opportunities, identify the right markets, and turn ideas into meaningful sales conversations. Through real-world brand experiences, vertical market strategies, and practical selling techniques, these sessions show how to move beyond selling a product—and start selling the packaging opportunity.
Session 5: Brand Experiences Where Custom Packaging Creates Opportunity | 17 episodes This session examines seventeen brand experiences where custom packaging can serve a clear purpose, including onboarding, product launches, recognition, and retention. Each lesson starts with what is happening in the client’s business and connects that moment to a packaging opportunity. The aim is to help distributors ask better questions and propose ideas grounded in the audience, occasion, and desired outcome.
Session 6: Where to Sell and Vertical Market Strategies | 17 episodes This session explores packaging opportunities across seventeen vertical markets. The lessons connect industry needs with relevant applications and help participants consider who to approach, what to ask, and how to introduce an idea. The focus is on making the sales conversation specific to the client’s business rather than presenting the same packaging pitch to every prospect.
Session 7: How to Win by Selling the Packaging Opportunity | 7 episodes This session brings the education into the sales conversation. Participants learn to lead with the idea, ask questions that uncover the opportunity, and present the complete experience. The lessons address making a concept visible, discussing price in relation to value, establishing a clear next step, and looking for further applications within the client’s organization.
Helping Distributors Sell the Bigger Picture “Packaging has become much more than a container for a product,” said Andy Griffin of Keepsake Products USA. “It is an opportunity to extend a brand, create an experience, and give distributors a way to bring greater value to their clients. This series was created to help distributors understand that opportunity and confidently incorporate packaging into their sales conversations.”
The series reflects Keepsake Products USA’s commitment to educating distributors, expanding their packaging knowledge, and uncovering new opportunities within existing client relationships.
By combining design, printing, decoration, kitting, assembly, and fulfillment, distributors can offer complete packaging solutions while simplifying the process for their clients.
