Atlantis Continues Its Commitment to Sustainability Through Bosco dei Racconti

“As part of its long-term commitment to environmental stewardship, Atlantis and its parent company, Master Italia, remain dedicated to preserving and caring for this natural heritage. What began as a simple question — ‘What can we do with this forest?’ — has grown into an ongoing project that reflects the company’s environmental values,” Federico Pasini said.

Today, Bosco dei Racconti is home to 567 trees representing more than 50 species across 1.35 hectares of woodland. Since planting, the forest has absorbed approximately 182 tons of CO₂ and continues to capture about 6 tons annually equivalent to the yearly emissions of roughly three passenger vehicles.

To better understand and protect the forest, Atlantis partnered with Divisione Energia Srl, a studio specializing in energy and environmental projects. Together, the teams surveyed and georeferenced every tree, developed a detailed CO₂ absorption report, created a digital thematic map, and installed educational panels throughout the woodland.

The project also celebrates the unique stories behind the forest’s diverse tree species. From the Common Walnut (Juglans regia) to dozens of other varieties, each tree contributes to biodiversity while helping reduce atmospheric carbon.
