ATLANTIS LAUNCHES FOURTH SHORT FILM WITH ONA FILM FESTIVAL VENICE
Pueblo del Sol Premieres September 4–7, 2025 in Venice, Italy
SAN DONÀ DI PIAVE, Italy (August 2025) – Atlantis Headwear, a leader in sustainable practices within the promotional products industry, has teamed up once again with the ONA Short Film Festival in Venice to release their fourth collaborative short film titled Pueblo del Sol. This piece transforms the Atacama Desert into a dynamic, living stage, exploring powerful themes of community, nature, and responsible storytelling. The film embodies the brand’s commitment to high performance and environmental responsibility.
The ONA Short Film Festival will take place in Venice, Italy, from September 4–7, 2025, where Pueblo del Sol will officially premiere.
Directed by ONA Festival Director Joaquín Gómez, alongside his brother Tomás and their creative team, the film was shot in the heart of Chile’s Atacama Desert. It presents the desert as both sacred and transformative, weaving a narrative of resilience and empowerment through the lens of sport and human connection.
At the center of the story is Viarly, the film’s narrator and lead character, also known as The Voice of the Desert. She leads Desertika Escalada, an all-female climbing collective that uses climbing as a tool for healing, solidarity, and empowerment. Alongside her is Elder, the film’s co-protagonist and her mentee, whose journey through the desert mirrors a deeper personal transformation. Through climbing, Elder finds not only strength but also a profound sense of belonging and chosen family, guided by Viarly’s leadership and wisdom.
Pueblo del Sol is more than a film; it’s a reflection of the ongoing mission of Atlantis to tell meaningful stories that inspire connection and protect the earth we live on.
